What is the Initiative About?

The Global Zionist Shabbat of Unity is an initiative that aims to bring Jewish communities worldwide closer to Israel and strengthen their connection to their heritage. The event is organized by Kol Israel, the General Zionist Party in the World Zionist Congress, which promotes innovation within the National Institutions and strengthens Zionist youth movements worldwide. White City Shabbat, an Israeli non-profit organization that organizes cultural events and Shabbat dinners in Tel Aviv, has partnered with Kol Israel to bring this initiative to life. The Am Yisrael Foundation, an American non-profit that supports initiatives to strengthen Zionist identity among young Jewish leaders and Olim communities in Israel, also supports this initiative.

The main event will be held on April 21, 2023, in Tel Aviv, Israel, catering to dietary and religious requirements, and welcoming all who wish to participate in this unforgettable Shabbat experience. The event will be a unique opportunity to celebrate Jewish heritage, promote unity, and build stronger connections with Israel and the Jewish community.

The subsidized ticket price of 75 NIS ($20) ensures that everyone who wishes to participate can join the event, including Olim communities in Israel, native Israelis, and Jewish visitors in the country for the Extraordinary Zionist Congress, the JAFI Board of Governors, and Israel's 75th anniversary.
